LLL Playgrounds

Children go outside at least once per day if weather permits.  

Preschool Playground


During the school-year, preschool children go outside once in the morning and once in the afternoon. During warmer months, children go out in the early morning as well (usually before 9:00 am).

 

Children over two-years of age may not go outside if the windchill is zero or below or if the heat index is greater than 90.

School-Age Playground


During the school-year, school-age children go outside once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

 

Children over two-years of age may not go outside if the windchill is zero or below or if the heat index is greater than 90.

Infant-Toddler Playground


During the school-year, infants and toddlers go outside once in the morning and once in the afternoon, as their schedule permits. During warmer months, toddlers go out in the early morning as well (usually before 9:00 am). When the playground is wet, infants and toddlers often go on stroller rides outside. 

 

Children under two-years of age may not go outside if the windchill is 20 or below or if the heat index is greater than 90.
